The Komono Core collection aims at creating original accessories that allow consumers to express their own individuality: authentic designs that merge the classic and the new, design and fashion, minimalism and colour, accessories and lifestyle.
The FW16 Core sunglasses collection continues Komono’s mission of travel and adventure while acknowledging the importance of pausing to reflect on the journey. This season’s inspiration, Palm Springs, is an iconic destination embodying vintage glamour in stark surroundings. The prolific reflecting pools of this desert oasis appear in the collection’s mirrored surfaces and light metals while fresh colorways evolve Komono’s offering of classic styles.
The new Core collection is all about metal and includes two main series: the Black Metal series, combining Komono’s forward designs with a sense of strength and performance, and the Red Metal series whose interplay of brushed metal and rubber coating creates a classic Komono aesthetic that blurs boundaries, yet sets a new standard. All frames from the Metal series feature matte stainless steel temples, mouldable tips and high quality optical hinges and come with a cleaning cloth and a hard case.
Crafted is a Komono portfolio of premium level sunglasses with high-end materials and details – colors, curves and components – that express an authentic ode to craftsmanship.
For FW16 Komono is expanding this successful series of cutting edge quality frames with five new striking designs: the Lennon, the Taylor and the Monroe are three distinct stainless steel frames with flat lenses, while the Aston and the Beaumont are two sophisticated acetate frames in four vibrant colorways that exhibit polarized lenses with antireflective coating. The acetate frames combine superior Italian acetate – for a durable and crystal clear design – and a strong, lightweight metal core in order to create smoothly functioning fashion items. The enhanced quality of the five arm hinges ensures that the temples’ movement remains supple and reliable.
Each pair is finished to perfection and encased in a vintage, all-black hard casing with velvety soft inside finishing to protect its precise angles, smooth ends and shimmering surfaces.
