Gentle Monster, a South Korean eyewear label, has launched new eyewear designs as part of their “BOLD” collection for the spring and summer seasons.
The collection is an extension of the first “Galaxy of the 9 Evening” collection and uses stars of the galaxy as a metaphor for boldness. The second “BOLD” campaign showcases the 90s Rotterdam hardcore gabber culture through the lens of Dutch photographer Ari Versluis. The campaign immerses the viewer in the high-energy world of Hakken dancers and Gabber music.
This second release features bug-eyed sunglasses with metallic accents, including the statement-making goggle shape of the Paso and the temple detailing of the Yyy.
Gentle Monster partnered with Dutch photographer Ari Versluis for the second “BOLD” campaign, which explores the 90s Rotterdam hardcore gabber culture in a modern context. The collection aims to push the boundaries of eyewear design and inspire individuals to express their individuality and embrace their inner boldness.
The collection can be found on Gentle Monster’s website and in stores as of April 28th.
