CFDA award winning designer Blake Kuwahara expands his eponymous eyewear collection.
What makes this collection so special?
Each pair is composed of two separately milled frames: an inner frame and an outer frame. The lamination process alone takes two months to complete to ensure that there are no bubbles or seams. The frames then go through an extensive milling process so that both the front and the temples are finely nuanced and sculpted. The end pieces are mitered at a 45 degree angle to hide the break in the end piece in the corner of the frame to give a pure and uninterrupted profile to the temple as possible.
Kuwahara fuses dual aesthetics by laminating two completely separate frames in a proprietary process that takes over 2 months to complete. The latest collection consists of deep charcoal, blue and bronze tones with a mix of bold round, aviator, and cat eye shapes.
