Finding the right balance in life, is an essential part of living – we seek balance in everything we do. The Balance collection is a tribute to those precious moments in life, when everything comes together in perfect balance.

Seeking pure balance between materials, to create perfectly harmonious frames, combining the of using stainless steel with biodegradable cotton acetate.

To bring the balance collection to life, our campaign images was shot with help from the stunning soloists Femke Mølback Slot and Gregory Dean, from the Royal Danish Ballet.

The softness of the cotton fibers and the coldness of the metal – a magical feeling of perfect balance. For the new collection, they added a series of black styles, which are made from 100 % recycled cotton acetate. This black acetate is completely obtained from waste material from the production.

The Balance collection contains frames made with stainless steel which is a 100 % recyclable material, and the durability of the metal prolongs the life of the glasses. Furthermore, any stainless steel object has an approximate recycled content of 60%.

monkeyglasses’s Zero Waste program ensures that we make the most of our materials, as we turn the leftovers from our production into accessories, or new materials. Even spectacle cases and polish cloths are made from recycled paper and old plastic bottles.
